Tier- und Artenschutz in Recht und Praxis (TiRuP)

The journal „Tier- und Artenschutz in Recht und Praxis“ (TiRuP) is an interdisciplinary journal focusing on the legal aspects of the protection of animals and species. It was founded in 2017 under the title „Tierschutz in Recht und Praxis“ by the the University of Salzburg, the Johannes Kepler University of Linz and the Ombuds Office for Animal Protection of the City of Vienna (TOW) in cooperation with the publisher Sramek.
The journal has been relaunched in 2021 and is currently published by the Johannes Kepler University of Linz and the Ombuds Office for Animal Protection of the City of Vienna together with NWV as the publishing partner.
Since fall 2021 the University of Vienna and the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna joined the team as a partner.

TiRuP addresses itself to those interested and involved in the protection of animals and species and aims to support the protection of individual animals and of species by contributing scientific articles and discussions.

All papers of the journal are published under an open access licence via the repository of the Johannes Kepler University Linz (ePUB) and can be viewed and downloaded free of charge. You can browse through the volumes and view and download single articles or the issue as a whole. The previous volumes up until 2020 can be viewed at the repository of the University of Salzburg (ePLUS). Enjoy reading!
